About GRAND FINAL

THE WORLD, "SOFT-TIP DARTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2013", has been held from STAGE 1 to STAGE 8 through this year.
Players who have attended 3 or more of these 8 STAGES and ranked in the Top 100 of the Point Ranking will be qualified to participate in the GRAND FINAL.
GRAND FINAL is the last stage of this tournament series which determines the grand champion from these players.

Who will earn the title of "The world's best soft-tip darts player" and the HKD 1,000,000 prize money...?

Eligibility Requirements

1. Players who have attended 3 or more of STAGES 1 to 8
2. Players who satisfied the1st requirement and ranked within the Top 100 of the Annual Point Ranking.

Point Ranking 1st-48th

Following seeds will be awarded to the players who are ranked1st to 48th in the point ranking.

• 1st-16th
  Exemption of qualification round + Seed for the second round of GRAND FINAL tournament
• 17th-32nd
  Exemption of qualification round + Seed for the first round of GRAND FINAL tournament
• 33rd-48th
  Exemption of qualification round

• If there is a refusal by the qualifier, the next runner-up will hold the right to compete. But it is not applicable to players ranked 49th or lower.
• If there were multiple runner-ups, 1) players with more games played, 2) highest ranking in each STAGE, and 3) highest score in SHOOT OUT Round, (the order will be the order stated here) will hold the right to compete preferentially.

Point Ranking 49th to 100th

The Qualification Round is for the players who are on 49th to 100th in the point ranking. (Include 100th place tie)
The Qualification Round decides players for the GRAND FINAL Tournament.

• If there is refusal by the qualifier, the ranking above will be different and the next runner-up will hold the right to compete.
  (The right may go to players ranked lower than 100th)
• If the players who are on 1st to 48th refuse to participate, there would be a change in the number of players who can advance to the GRAND FINAL accordingly.

Each match of the Qualification Round will be played under the rule of "No-Handicap" and "Round Robin".

• THE WORLD MODE loaded in DARTSLIVE2 will be used for both the GRAND FINAL Tournament and Qualification Round.

Tournament Format

Each match of the GRAND FINAL Tournament will be played under rules of "No Handicap" and "Single Elimination".

• THE WORLD MODE loaded in DARTSLIVE2 will be used for both the GRAND FINAL Tournament and Qualification Round.

Total of 64 players: Top 48 of THE WORLD Annual Ranking + Players who advanced from the Qualification Round

Seeds will be awarded to the players who are on 1st to 48th in the point ranking.
The competitions will be among 64 players who include the 48 seed players and the players who won through the Qualification Round.

Schedule to decide participating players

WSDA will send e-mails to qualified players as the schedule below:

• An invitation e-mail will be sent to the players who have ranked in the Top 100 of THE WORLD Annual Ranking after November 14.
• Please confirm the content of the invitation e-mail and reply by November 24 whether you will be attending the GRAND FINAL or not.
• Players list will be released in THE WORLD official website on November 29.

• The dates listed above are subject to change.

Entry

After STAGE 8, THE WORLD Executive Committee will send an e-mail to the players who have qualified for the GRAND FINAL to confirm the attendance of the players.
If the player decides to attend the GRAND FINAL, the player shall confirm the content and proceed to his/her entry by e-mail.

Prize Money

About WORLD 14

Players who accomplish a 14-dart finish in 701 will receive HKD 3,000 per match as WORLD 14.

• Please be noted that THE WORLD 14 reward is valid for only 1 time in 1 MEDLEY. Reward will not be given out more than 1 time even though the player has achieved 14 darts multiple times.
